Promenade des Anglais

Stroll along 4.3 miles of picturesque seaside walkway and soak in stunning views of the deep blue Mediterranean Sea.  The Promenade des Anglais in the French Riviera is the perfect place to walk, run, skate, or bike.

The “Prom” is also home (in part) to the world-famous Nice Carnival!

Vieux Nice (Old Town)

Wander through narrow streets of the Old Town filled with colorful buildings, bustling markets, and charming cafes. Here you’ll experience local culture and cuisine—don’t miss trying socca, a traditional pancake made of chickpeas!

Parc de la Colline du Château

The Parc de la Colline du Château at the top of Castle Hill is a lush green space with ancient castle ruins and panoramic views of the bay. Snap a selfie, grab a snack, or check out the spectacular waterfall that cascades down a small cliff.

Eze Village

Avignon: The City of Popes

Avignon is a pretty little gem located in southern France. It was the seat of the papacy during the 14^th century (thus the nickname!)

Avignon is also celebrated for its annual theater festival in July, but year-round it offers a mix of educational opportunities and cultural immersion that make it a fantastic destination for student travelers.

Palais des Papes (Palace of the Popes)

The Palais de Papes is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Europe’s largest Gothic structures. It’s also one of the 10 most visited monuments in France with more than 650,000 guests each year.

Pont Saint-Bénézet (The Bridge of Avignon)

Also a UNESCO world Heritage Site, the Saint-Bénézet Bridge attracts more than 300,000 visitors per year. Construction on the bridge began in 1177. It became part of one of the most important pilgrimage routes between Italy and Spain.

Today only four of the famous arches remain – along with more than 800 years of history!

Pont du Gard

The Pont du Gard, a Roman aqueduct bridge, was built in the middle of the 1st century AD, during the reigns of emperors Claudius and Nero.
