Thousands of young people will take part in this South Florida tradition! For more than 70 years, the Junior Orange Bowl Parade has taken over the streets of Downtown Coral Gables with a dazzling arrangement of bands, floats, community groups and more. Bands must have at least 30 members to participate and are encouraged to be costumed according to the theme. Junior Orange Bowl Parade As the holidays approach, celebrate by planning a band trip to the Junior Orange Bowl Parade. It’s part of the International Youth Festival, a tradition of athletic, academic and cultural events for more than 7,500 youth. The Junior Orange Bowl Parade is a spectacle of colorful floats, community groups and high school bands all marching with a common theme. It winds through Miracle Mile in Downtown Coral Gables, ending in front of City Hall. It’s a celebration of young people like no other!
