Education Trip

Planning lessons that engage and interest students is hard work. Planning a student trip that does the same can be even harder! Teachers want a destination that’s educational and exciting. Students want a trip that is, well, FUN! Boston checks everyone’s boxes. Rooted in history and overflowing with fun, Boston is for students.

Freedom Trail/Faneuil Hall

Boston is the “Cradle of Liberty” (although Philadelphia may argue the point!). It’s a city that sparked a revolution and gave birth to our great nation. The Freedom Trail is a 2.5 mile walk through 16 of the American Revolution’s most significant  historical sites. Talk about authentic learning!

Follow the Freedom Trail to Faneuil Hall and stand where our forefathers delivered inspiring speeches. Browse the marketplace, explore the shops or sample traditional New England “chow-dah.”

Boston Duck Tours

Hop aboard an amphibious landing vehicle and travel through the streets of Boston right into the Charles River!  Boston Duck Tours offers the best and most unique views of the city. The ConDUCKtors narrate with both wit and skill, highlighting the very best of Boston.

Plimoth Plantation

Less than an hour’s drive from Boston is Plimoth Plantation.  It’s an interactive 17th century experience centered on the Wampanoag people and the English settlers of Plymouth Colony. This year marks the 400th anniversary of the pilgrims’ arrival in Plymouth. As part of the international celebration, the Mayflower II is being restored to inspire a new generation.

USS Constitution Museum

The USS Constitution is out of dry dock and open for visitors after a 2 year, meticulous conservation effort. Students learn about “Old Ironsides” and the War of 1812 through narratives and hands-on experiences. Self-guided or facilitated programs are also available. A knowledgeable education department works directly with your group to meet your curricular needs.

Ghosts and Gravestones

Students love the creepy and macabre. Poking around ancient cemeteries in the dark while listening to ghost stories is like hitting the teen jackpot! Paranormal, grisly and heinous history take center stage during a Ghosts and Gravestones tour.  Ghoulish guides will guide you through Boston’s dark past.

Six Flags New England

Add some excitement to your Boston trip at Six Flags New England. Students love the heart pounding coasters, thrilling rides and amazing entertainment. Special educational days turn the park into an interactive classroom with programs designed for physics, math and marketing.

New England Aquarium

Stop by the New England Aquarium and check out a four-story Caribbean coral reef, the Amazon rainforest, or an adorable colony of Penguins. Follow your indoor adventures with an outdoor ride on a wicked fast catamaran. This sleek, high speed vessel (seating up to 400) quickly takes you to the whale-watching action- an experience not to be missed!
